Regular Meeting Agenda

The Major topics or events for the Kamloops Family History Society regular meetings can be found on the Programs page.

6:30 - 7:00 PM
Sign in and social gathering • Members are encouraged to browse through the circulating library, exchange journals and books that are available.
• Coffee, juice and snacks are available throughout the evening
• There will be a short break after the major topic. Socializing is encouraged.
7:00 - 7:15 PM
KFHS Business • Any Visitors or New Members?

7:15 - 8:00 PM
Meeting topic: A major topic will be presented which will encourage, instruct, or assist members in the methods and effective techniques of genealogy research into their ethnic and family backgrounds.
8:00 - 8:15 PM
Break Grab some refreshments and talk with the presenter and each other.
8:15 - 8:30 PM
Topics of interest may include: • Tips: Computer or otherwise: Tips on using your computer or Genealogy software
• Research ideas: Short Topic or workshop designed to demonstrate various research techniques
• Successes and challenges:
- Members may speak briefly on how they solved a problem or ask questions relating to genealogy issues encountered in their research.
- Suggestions or solutions may come from the general membership as to how the issue may be resolved
- Think about what have you looked for and not found? Can you give us one tip you have found helpful in doing your family research
